37c3 Electrum - The Museum of Electricity

The electrum is Hamburgs Museum of Electricity and Technology. Nothing works without electricity—for 130 years, electricity is part of our daily lives. You’ll find around one thousands technical devices from all ages in electrum, Hamburgs museum of electricity in Harburgs inner harbour. You don’t have to be a tech nerd to discover interesting and curious electrical devices from back in the day in the unique collection. You’ll find familiar common and long forgotten articles. You can admire grannies radio, a pink hair drie, a cabinet TV, or a tray toaster. In addition, you can discover many extraordinary and unknown items from the world of electricity, from a Siemens Dynamo to a suspended frying pan.

    • Alternatively, you can come to the location directly. In this case, please let us know by writing us at ticket@hackertours.hamburg.ccc.de. Please arrive at the location no later than 1:15 hours after the time given above. We will be meeting at the entrance of the museum at Harburger Schloßstraße 1. Because getting to the museum from the S-Bahn stop Harburg Rathaus is a bit tricky, we strongly recommend that you travel with the group starting at the Hackertours Desk.
